Anchored Iframes can contain graphics and text. When you create an anchored frame, Vyou specify its position and size; FrameMaker inserts an anchor symbol ( Hat the insertion point. The frame and its contents move with the anchor x Dsymbol, so you don t have to reposition the frame when you edit the document. You can position an anchored frame in the text column, at the insertion point, or in the margin. In the text column You can position the frame in three places within the text column. Below Current Line 8Positions the frame directly below the insertion point. At Top/Bottom of o Column 7Positions the frame at the top or bottom of the column containing the insertion point. Alignment 7Aligns the frame in the text column (at the left edge, he !centered, or at the right edge). Cropped 5Clips the sides of the anchored frame, if necessary, t to fit in the text column. Floating Allows the frame to float away from the anchor 6symbol if there isn t room for both the anchor symbol "and the frame in the same column. 4With Floating off, the frame and anchor symbol must be in the same column. 6With Floating on, the frame floats to the next column that can hold it. At the insertion point You can position the frame immediately after the anchor symbol, as if it h Owere a single character. The frame will move from line to line as you edit the Itext. If you want the frame to be treated as a one-character word, put a e Lspace on either side of the anchor symbol. To make the line spacing grow to n Jaccommodate the height of the anchored frame, turn off Fixed Line Spacing ain the Custom Line Spacing dialog box or in the Line Spacing area of the ,Basic properties in the Paragraph Designer. At Insertion Point 4Places the frame in the line, immediately after the anchor symbol. Baseline Offset ,Sets the distance between the bottom of the ,anchored frame and the baseline of the text 5containing the anchor symbol. Side Farthest from Page Edge 5Positions the frame at the side of the column that 6farther from the page edge. Use this setting to place 4the frame in the wider margin of the page for a one- a column layout. If you use this command to create an anchored frame in a structured document, Othe anchored frame will not be an element. That is, it will not be part of the * Pdocument s structure.
